Dave is a an associate lawyer at LEONE MURRAY LLP. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and practised for a number of years as a Chartered Accountant.
Dave formerly practised civil litigation for another prominent Toronto law firm where he primarily represented large national and international corporations in a variety of claims, including personal injury and general commercial liability claims. He also gained significant experience litigating recreational liability claims involving a number of Ontario's ski resorts and conservation authorities. In this role, Dave gained invaluable trial and courtroom experience in jury and non-jury settings. He also obtained first-hand knowledge of what strategies work, and don't work, for plaintiffs when litigating personal injury claims.
At LEONE MURRAY LLP, Dave uses his knowledge and expertise learned from working with insurance companies to assist his clients who have suffered serious personal injuries. He focuses his practice on pursuing claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, sport/recreational liability and product liability. He has represented clients who have been catastrophically injured as well as family members who have lost someone due to the negligent acts of other persons.
In addition to his personal injury practice, Dave also uses his experience to advise businesses and individuals who have been denied coverage by their insurance companies in a variety of contexts. He also continues to represents a select number of domestic and international companies who value the experience and cost-effective strategies he brings to managing their litigation claims.
Outside of the office, Dave enjoys travelling, playing hockey and golf (not well) and spending time with his family while cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
